The Civil Petition System Launched in the Republic of Vestina

Every citizen of the Republic of Vestina can now officially address state authorities — submit a petition, collect signatures, and seek its consideration at the governmental level, , stated the Governor of Justice A. E. Vlasenko.

We are pleased to announce the launch of the Civil Petition System — an instrument of direct democracy that provides every citizen with a real mechanism to influence government decisions. From now on, any issue requiring the attention of the authorities can be raised publicly, gain the support of fellow citizens, and be submitted for official consideration.

HOW IT WORKS

  1. Submission of a Petition Fill out the form on the website: describe the essence of your request, choose a category, and review the Rules for Submitting Civil Petitions.
  2. Verification The Governorate of Justice reviews the petition for compliance with the Constitution and the Rules within 24 hours and makes a decision: to publish or to reject it.
  3. Collection of Signatures After approval, the petition is published and opened for signing. The signature collection period is 30 calendar days..
  4. Decision If the petition gathers 100 or more signatures it is forwarded to the relevant state authority for official consideration. If it fails to reach the required number, it is rejected.

Requirements for the Content of a Petition
All petitions undergo mandatory review by the Governorate of Justice. A petition may not be aimed at:

  • overthrowing or altering the constitutional order of the Republic of Vestina;
  • violating the rights and freedoms of individuals and citizens;
  • inciting racial, social, religious, or national hatred;
  • violating the provisions of the Constitution of the Republic of Vestina.

Petitions that do not comply with these requirements are rejected with an explanation of the reason.

Verification of Signatures
To sign a petition, it is necessary to provide the email address registered during the application for citizenship of the Republic of Vestina. The specified address is automatically verified against the citizens' registry, ensuring the authenticity of each vote.

If your email address has changed, been lost, or is otherwise inaccessible, you must contact the Governorate for Citizenship Affairs and request an update before signing the petition, presenting your ID card of a citizen of the Republic of Vestina. Votes with non-matching email addresses are not counted and will be annulled.

Re-submission
If a petition does not gather the required number of signatures, it may be resubmitted once on the same issue, no earlier than 30 days after its rejection. If the resubmitted petition also fails to reach the threshold of 100 signatures, further submissions on the same issue are not permitted

Language of the Petition
A petition must be written in the state language or in English.
