Presidential address to the newly appointed judges of Vestina

Dear friends, esteemed Judges of the Justiarum of the Republic of Vestina!

Each of you has traveled your own path to this day. Some have brought with them years of legal practice, accumulated expertise, resolved disputes, and protected rights. Others have reached this milestone through education and professional certification within Vestina itself — and this is especially profound. It signifies that our Republic is already nurturing its own legal scholars, shaping its own legal school of thought, and fostering its own legal culture.

You are the first. And this title carries a profound responsibility. The first always set the tone. The first become the example. The first pave the way for those who will follow. A young state looks to you, expecting from its court not only legality but wisdom; not only the letter of the law, but its very spirit.

I know that the path ahead will not be easy. A judge is a person who must make decisions in conditions where there is always a party that believes itself to be right. A judge is a person entrusted with what is most precious: one's destiny, one's reputation, and one's freedom. And precisely because of this, judicial independence is not an abstraction from a textbook, but a living, daily practice."

I want you to know: the President of the Republic of Vestina stands as the guardian of your independence. No political pressure, no administrative interest must or shall dictate your decisions. The Constitution of the Republic guarantees this—and I, as President, guarantee this personally.

The Republic of Vestina was born of a dream: a state where every person is protected by the law, and where the law is the same for all — for the common citizen and the high official, for the humble and the great. You are the ones who turn this dream into reality. Every decision you make, rendered with honesty and sound reasoning, is a brick in the foundation of the state we are building together.

Speaking specifically to those of you who have completed your training and certification here in Vestina, I have this to say: you are the living proof that our Republic is capable of preparing its own specialists and creating its own distinct legal identity. In you lies the future of Vestinian legal thought.

And speaking to all of you — both seasoned practitioners and young certified specialists — I say: you have chosen one of the most noble callings. To serve the Law is to serve Humanity. To serve Humanity is to serve the State. And this service begins today.

On behalf of all the people of the Republic of Vestina, I heartfully congratulate you on your assumption of office. I wish you fortitude of spirit and clarity of judgment, courage in the face of difficult cases, and humility before the truth. May every decision you render be guided by conscience, by the Law, and by a profound respect for every human being.

The Justiarum of the Republic of Vestina begins its journey. And I believe — it will be a journey worthy of our ideals.
